The workflow
Set choice limits in three steps.
Use the form you already built. FormSpots adds the capacity layer and gives you a simple availability view in the form editor.
- 01
Choose the signup question
Select an existing multiple-choice or dropdown question in your Google Form.
- 02
Set spots for every choice
Give each option its own capacity, then choose whether to show spots left, hide full choices, or add a waitlist choice.
- 03
Check what is still open
After each submission, FormSpots recounts saved responses and updates the choices shown on the next form load.
What you get
A small tool for one clear job.
No replacement form builder, separate attendee database, or automated scheduling system.
Limits per choice
Turn one question into a practical capacity list with a separate limit for every option.
Cleaner future signups
Show spots left or remove full choices so the next person loading the form sees the latest availability.
Waitlist requests
Add a clearly labeled waitlist choice and see the request count without implying automatic promotion or notifications.
Where FormSpots fits
Volunteer roles, potluck items, classroom choices, workshop sessions, ordinary appointment windows, office hours, and community events where a form owner can review the occasional edge case.
Form responses remain in the Google Form. FormSpots reads the current form to calculate availability and stores the configuration needed to maintain it.
Know the boundary
Google Forms records a submission before FormSpots can recalculate and update the choices. Two people who loaded the form at the same time can still see the same final spot.
Do not use it for scarce inventory, payments, medical scheduling, or reservations that require guaranteed atomic locking.
