Form2Doc for Google Forms

Create Google Docs and PDFs from Google Form responses

Map form answers into a reusable Google Docs template. Each new submission creates a personalized document and emails a PDF to the recipients you choose.

What the automation produces

Input: a new response from the Google Form you configured.

Template: a Google Doc containing placeholders mapped to form questions.

Output: a new filled Google Doc plus a PDF attachment emailed to the form owner and any optional recipients.

Set it up in three steps

Step 1

Choose a Google Docs template

Add placeholders such as {{Name}} to the document, then select that file from the Form2Doc sidebar in your Google Form.

Step 2

Map questions to placeholders

Connect each template placeholder to the Google Form question whose answer should appear there.

Step 3

Save the automation

Choose whether to email the respondent or additional recipients. Future submissions create a filled Doc and an attached PDF.

Useful when every response needs a document

  • Generate certificates or confirmation letters from submitted details.
  • Turn an intake form into a consistent application or request summary.
  • Send a personalized PDF to the form owner, respondent, or named recipients.

Before you install

  • The automation applies to new submissions after you save its configuration; it does not backfill earlier responses.
  • The free plan generates up to 25 documents per month.
  • Form2Doc needs access to the configured Form, template Doc, generated files, and email delivery.
  • Selected response and template content is processed in Google Workspace. External account and diagnostic records exclude form answers and generated document content.

Review the privacy policy or contact support before connecting a production form.
